The City of Brookfield, Wisconsin, will receive a $500,000 incentive from Focus on Energy under the 2013 Renewable Energy Competitive Incentive Program (RECIP). This award will help fund the City’s Digester Gas Engine Generator project. The project is expected to start in January 2014.
Donohue has been working with the City of Brookfield on wastewater treatment planning efforts and provided grant application assistance for this competitive award. Donohue previously assisted the communities of Kenosha, Stevens Point, and Eau Claire that resulted in Focus on Energy incentives totaling $857,000. This amount was 26% of the funding available during the March 2013 cycle.
The RECIP provides incentives for cost-effective renewable energy systems installed at eligible Wisconsin organizations through a competitive request for proposals (RFP) process. For more information go to: http://www.focusonenergy.com/business/renewable-energy.
