Description:
We are seeking an experienced talent acquisition specialist to join our growing organization. In this position, you will employ traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting channels. You will play a critical role in ensuring that we are hiring the best possible talent and achieving staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, advising managers, coordinating on-boarding, and leading our intern program. The selected candidate will work in our Sheboygan, Wis., or Chicago area offices.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the company’s organizational structure
- Coordinate hiring needs
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites
- Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; work with specialized recruiters upon request
- Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyze responses, verify references, and compare qualifications to job requirements
- Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules; arrange travel, lodging, and meals
- Manage new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements
- Improve organization’s attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices
- Monitor job offers and compensation practices; emphasize benefits and perks
- Be active in intern program by conducting orientations; schedule assignments; monitor intern job contributions; advise managers on training and coaching
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforce regulations with managers and conduct training
- Perform affirmative action compliance activities
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
- Perform other human resource, administrative, and project tasks requested by Donohue’s management committee and other managers

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1-2 years of human resources corporate recruiting experience
preferred
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or PHR certification a plus
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment
• General knowledge of current employment laws and practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written
communication skills
• Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human
resources work
• Skills in database management and record keeping
• Ability to travel for recruiting meetings, college visits, career fairs,
etc.
• Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
with minimal supervision
